Their Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP) surface makes our composite doors exceptionally durable, protecting their look from knocks and scratches. Unlike some other doors, they don’t warp, split or twist.

Safe and secure

Holding the highest accreditations for quality and security, you can have peace of mind that the door construction, with its rigid polymer subframe, high-density CFC-free polyurethane foam core, integral security board and high impact GRP skin, will keep your property safe and secure.

All our composite doors are enhanced with an insurance-approved high security multi-point locking system as standard, ensuring your family and home are fully protected.

Our composite doors are Secured by Design accredited and tested against the security standards of PAS 24.

Excellent Thermal Value and Weatherproofing

More thermally efficient than a solid timber core, with our composite doors you can be assured that the warmth is kept in and the cold is out of your home.

With such excellent insulation properties, outside noise will be kept to a minimum too.

Designed with water-resistant polymer composite rails to protect the core, your Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP) skin door won’t suffer from water ingress which can result in skin delamination and other functional problems of some lesser products.

Although it is possible to have a letterbox at the bottom of a door, it is highly discouraged, as low-level letterboxes contribute to unnecessary back strain to the postal workers as a result of repeatedly bending down to deliver mail.

What’s more, openings positioned at the bottom of doors pose a security risk, making thieves able to reach in and steal letters which are close to the letterbox opening.

Although both uPVC and composite doors are very versatile, composite doors are made of more robust and resilient materials, which generally makes them more expensive than a UPVC door. However, if you are looking for a bespoke coloured door, it is sometimes more cost effective to opt for a composite door as manufacturing a UPVC door with bespoke coloured profile can be costly.

In case you experience draughts, ensure that the door and its hinges are installed correctly.

It is not common for composite doors to leak. However, the drainage holes of composite doors might get blocked over time causing your door to leak. Therefore, it is recommended to check and clean the drainage a couple of times a year.

When it comes to composite doors, maintenance is very simple. To keep them in their best condition, their hardware should be cleaned every month using general household cleaning products. The door and the frame should be cleaned using a soft sponge and warm soapy water, then a dry cloth. Never use harsh
chemicals as they will damage the door.
